Director of Sales, US Federal Government, Western Region

Organizations worldwide rely on Thinklogical’s products and solutions for optimal performance in secure visual computing environments. Through pioneering next generation fiber optic extension, switching and server management technologies, Thinklogical helps customers reduce cost and simplify the management of complex computing infrastructures. Thinklogical sells directly and through integrator and VAR channels, and is privately held and headquartered in Milford, Connecticut.
Thinklogical’s new Director of Sales for the US Federal Government will report to the Vice President of Federal Sales and will be responsible for Thinklogical sales into the US Government sector. The sales territory for this position includes California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Hawaii, Alaska, and Guam. Also included in this territory are U.S. military and intelligence facilities in Asia.
The successful candidate will exhibit excellent leadership skills and experience in growing small, high-tech businesses in the US Federal Government sector. They will be particularly adept at prospecting for new opportunities among consultants, system integrators and end users in the sector.
This position is located in the western region of the United States, and will work out of a home office. It is expected that the successful candidate will have resided in the area for several years.
- Grow the awareness and understanding of Thinklogical solutions among system design consultants, system integrators and end users
- Grow the US Federal pipeline, primarily through extensive and aggressive prospecting with system design consultants, system integrators and end users
- Win opportunities for Thinklogical; achieve annual quota targets
- Establish an open and regular communication with headquarters regarding user and partner needs in the US Federal sector
At least 5 years in a sales leadership position for a small, high-growth, high-tech company focused on the US Federal sector.
Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred but not required.
- 50/50 Base/Commission plan with quota targets. No cap. Pay level to be determined based on the candidate’s experience.
