Today the proliferation of USB interface devices has spawned the need to break free of traditional distance limitations. Thinklogical's USB 1.1 Fiber Optic Extender extends the distance of a USB device to a host computer up to 1000 meters over standard duplex multimode fiber. This gives users complete flexibility and continuity when placing USB printers, cameras, web cams or any other USB 1.1 devices. Comprised of two compact units the USB 1.1 Fiber Optic Extenders transmitter connects to the host computer with a standard USB cable, the receiver provides four ports for connection of peripheral devices. Quick glance LEDs provide link performance status. The USB 1.1 Extender is 100% plug-and-play with absolutely no special software, drivers to install, or switch settings. External power is required for both the transmitter and receiver units and two universal power supplies are included.
