Thinklogical Debuts New Network Extension Feature for Velocity Video and KVM Extender Line
Milford, CT - December 4, 2009 - Thinklogical, the leading provider of fiber optic KVM switching and extension solutions, today announced that its Velocity line of KVM and Video extenders will now have a new, significant feature, the "Network Option." This feature will give end users the ability to extend their network (10/100 Base-T) through Thinklogical's Velocity Transmitters via single mode or multi-mode fiber optics to the Velocity Receivers. This expanded network connectivity will provide for greater peripheral capability with no increase in fiber or port counts.
The Velocity line of Video and KVM Extenders leverages 6.25Gbps of bandwidth, delivering unprecedented power and performance. The systems allow users to extend video signals (uncompressed DVI single-link, dual-link and RGB) and peripherals (stereo audio, keyboard, and mouse) via multi-mode or single-mode fiber, up to 10 kilometers (6 miles). These features make them an ideal extension system for high visualization environments such as, broadcast, post-production, medical, government, military, and Pro A/V.
The new "Network Option" brings incredible versatility to the line. All of the Velocitydvi Video Extension Systems now have optional Audio/Network or Audio/Serial capabilities, and the VelocityKVM Extension Systems give users the option of USB 2.0 or network extension. In addition, the network option will provide the VelocityKVM transmitter/receiver systems with four Ethernet ports.
