Energy & Utilities Applications

Accreditation

Thinklogical VX routers are accredited for Common Criteria Part 3, EAL4. Thinklogical has established an Information Assurance (IA) methodology across high-end video switching equipment to meet EAL4 certification requirements. Our VX routers (VX40, VX160, and VX320) comply with NATO Directive AC/322-D(2007)0047 for multi-classification Information Assurance.

The VX40, VX160, and VX320 routers are TEMPEST certified.

Application Briefs

Analysts project that in 2011, energy and utility businesses and organizations, in the United States alone, will invest upwards of $21.9 billion dollars in new technologies, with a compounded annual growth rate of 4.5 percent through 2014. Those are impressive numbers on their own, but when you consider the importance of energy to our lives — as well as to our global growth, productivity, and security — it is critical that the new initiatives underway to optimize technology in this field move into full throttle. White Papers

Secure Routing: Evaluating and deploying the right infrastructure solutions are important steps for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical data. This white paper outlines how to limit security risks with Thinklogical’s VX routers. Read the complete white paper.

That was Then and This is Now: This white paper describes both past and present KVM routing and extension solutions. It was developed for both engineering and non-engineering professionals who play a role in making critical infrastructure decisions. Most engineering personnel will likely be familiar with the basic technical content which describes past and present systems. However, this white paper is of value to anyone as an update on new developments in fiber-based routing and extension solutions and their applications in vertical markets from the broadcast world to government and military installations. This white paper also outlines the significant inefficiencies that still exist in present routing and extension systems and how Thinklogical’s fiber optic technology and solutions have revolutionized infrastructure systems. Read the complete white paper.

Redundant Fiber-Based Systems: This white paper illustrates the concepts of redundant and resilient systems and how fiber-based extension and routing solutions can maintain operability in the event of failure. Read the complete white paper.
