Thinklogical Broadcast and Post-Production SolutionsEnabling creative professionals to work more efficiently & productively - Over the last year Thinklogical has launched a large expansion and development of its broadcast and post-production offerings. We are committed to the broadcast industry and focused on helping customers succeed as they transition to the digital media world. Our company is regarded as one of the world's foremost developers and manufacturers of high performance fiber optic solutions for professional digital video. Thinklogical’s new ImageEvolution and VelocityKVM are comprehensive, next-generation solutions for HD/SDI video conversion, scaling, extension, processing, and routing. Digital KVM Matrix SwitchingEditors, operators, engineers and designers all need access to multiple computing resources during various stages of the broadcast and post-product process. These resources are usually kept in machine rooms away from editing suites or studios. Thinklogical’s EVS Fiber Optic KVM Extenders in conjunction with the DCS/DCS StudioPRO 32 line of matrix switching not only allows users to access these resources seamlessly, but share them as well. Thus, simplifying the set up of studios and facilities while allowing the dynamic movement of video and KVM.
Keeping Stride with the Broadcast and Post-Production IndustryThinklogical Makes the Leap into Single-Mode Fiber Technology! Thinklogical’s new Velocity, fiber optic KVM extender harnesses single-mode fiber technology using high-speed pulse modulation techniques to transmit and receive the digital video pulse stream without any alteration or interpretation of the original signal (embedded keyboard, mouse, USB 1.1 and audio signals are also transmitted). Why Single-Mode Fiber? The limit on how much bandwidth or data that can be carried across a copper line can become a bottleneck for enterprise access and ultimately revenue. This bottleneck oftentimes appears in metropolitan area networks. Optical fiber (single-mode and multi-mode) alleviates this problem offering a substantial amount of bandwidth. Single-mode fiber allows for a higher capacity to transmit information because it is capable of retaining the fidelity of each light pulse over longer distances. In addition, single-mode fibers do not exhibit dispersion resulting from multiple spatial modes. For these reasons, single-mode fibers have a higher bandwidth than multi-mode fibers. Distance (up to 40 km)Single-mode fiber is best designed for longer transmission distances, thus ideal for multi-channel television broadcast systems. Therefore, single-mode fiber may be used to send video signals from room to room, floor to floor, building to building, studio to transmitter (STL), with transmission distances up to 40 km. Single-Mode Fiber Makes DVI a RealitySingle-mode fiber is emerging as a logical solution for next-generation television signal routing. Single-mode ensures error-free transmission, with no frame or bit dropping and complete immunity to interference; the end result is no degradation of the video signal whatsoever. |
